Celtic Cross Dedicated At St. Ambrose University On September 27, a celtic cross was dedicated at St. Ambrose University under the auspices of the Celtic Heritage Trail of the Quad Cities. The Trail consistis of various points in the Quad Cities that are of particular importance to those of Celtic heritage: Irish, Scots, Welsh, Cornish, Manx, and Breton. The Quad Cities Ceili Club made a donation toward this effort. |

Céilí Club Awards Area's Irish Musicians The Céilí Club presented Certificates of Appreciation to four Irish musicians at its March Céilí in recognition of their contributions to Irish Culture in the Quad Cities Area by providing the very best in Irish music". Pictured are Dennis Roseman, David Hicks, Guy Drollinger, Jon Cooper, and Frank Claudy. Not pictured is Keith Reins who will also receive a certificate. Dennis, David, Guy and Keith formed the original Stones in the Field Band from Iowa City who played for the Club's very first céilí in April, 1998. Currently, Guy, Jon, Frank and Keith form the Quad Cities Céilí Band who have also played for Club dances many times. |
